Monte Urano, February 10, 2022 - The European Digital Press Association (EDP) Commission has recognized Elitron's latest fully automated cutting system Kombo TAV V2, as the best "Wide Format Cutting Solution" 2021 during an online ceremony at the end of January.

"This recognition once again underlines Elitron's investment in automation and continuous commitment to research and development in line with market requirements," commented Paolo Malatesta, Elitron's Technical Director.

In particular, the EDP Technical Committee recognized that the Kombo TAV V2 is the most compact fully automatic cutting solution for customized packaging and displays, - from pre-feeder to destacker.

Piles of up to 1555 mm of printed and unprinted materials can be loaded and unloaded from the front or side, minimizing floor space requirements for blanks up to 3200 x 2200 mm. The work steps in detail:

-Each individual sheet is aligned in the pre-feeder before loading.

-Multiple sheets are loaded so that the working area is completely filled.

-The patented Seeker system scans each of the sheets and automatically detects and loads the correct cutting and creasing tools with the data.

-32 suction cups hold the cut material where the cutting and creasing heads work. Two cutting and creasing heads with up to 5 tools operate simultaneously.

-Patented Airo Panel also unloads the work area with vacuum technology, so no marks are required.

-Only waste may still need to be manually removed per pallet.

Elitron develops each project in close collaboration with the customer to provide solutions that fully meet today's production requirements while being prepared for tomorrow's challenges.
